Portland Harbor Superfund

Community Technical Assistance

The Portland Harbor Superfund site was listed in 2000 due to contamination with many hazardous substances, including polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), dioxins/furans, pesticides and heavy metals.

We are working with community organizations as a Technical Advisor to interpret cleanup documents and policies, to develop community-focused recommendations, and to develop outreach materials. The goal is to support a more inclusive and resilient cleanup plan.
